    AGA Medical is recalling the HOSPISTAR and PF3 regulators equipped with type D or L fittings, the designations and serial numbers of which are specified in the appendix (17/03/2006) (16 KB). This decision follows on from the information released on February 28, 2006 relating to the possibility that these regulators can not be manually connected to the valve of a bottle, which would make it impossible to deliver gas .. The company has directly notified the recipients of the devices incriminated using of the message attached (17/03/2006) (26 ko) validated by Afssaps. This information is addressed to the directors of health establishments and local correspondents of materiovigilance for dissemination, where appropriate to the services concerned.

In addition, review cycles within the regulatory process can be different in each country which can impact communication and recall timing.
